Styled

Hi friends!! It has been forever {at least that was how I felt like}. Our internet has been down for the past week and we've been duking it out with our internet provider. I don't want to say much more about that, because it will drive me crazy thinking about it. I have so much to catch up on around the blogging world. What were some of your favorite posts last week?

On a happier note, Victoria of A Subtle Revelry just launched Styled Magazine with the subtitle of "the art of merry making" {don't you just adore that}. The magazine is filled to brim with beautiful photos and inspirations for your next party.

One of my favorite featured from the magazine is Wardrobe to Party where each party scene is based of an outfit. My favorite of the party scene {see below} was styled by Melanie from You Are My Fave.

Current Obsession: Confetti

One of my big love out side of polka dots right now is confetti. I love how fun and whimsical they are along with the many ways they can be used, see below.

I am loving these confetti wedding programs from Martha Weddings.

I love the simplicity of this confetti cake also from Martha Weddings.

I can't wait till I get a chance to make these confetti party invites. Jordan Ferney from Oh Happy Day is the lovely creator behind these invites. You can find the tutorial here.

I love the idea of putting the confetti in a book. See more of this vibrant wedding on Snippet and Ink.

This confetti garland from Kristina Marie's etsy shop makes me happy. I spotted this on Creature Comforts Blog.

These confetti washi tape {Japanese masking tape} from Urban Scarlet's shop are adorable.

How fun are these confetti presents? It put me in the mood to party. You can see the easy tutorial on Tokketok's blog. Spotted on Oh happy day.

How to throw a party: cute name cards idea

I'm a huge fan of party favors. I also have a thing for multiple purposes object in party decor. That is why I love love love the potted plants with the name card above spotted on Caroline Armelle's blog. It would be such a sweet party favor and a creative way to display the name cards {or you can use it as place cards}. I can also see using the potted plant as part of the table decor.

You can find the diy tutorial for the cute place cards/name cards on Caroline Armelle's blog. What do you think of party flavors? and what do you think of multiple purposes object in party decor?

All photos from Armelle's blog.

A Winter Holiday Soiree

I have a folder title Inspirations for Holiday parties in {on?} my desktop with pictures I have save over the years. I'm so glad I look through the folder again yesterday, because I stumbled upon this lovely shoot.

I really love the easy going feel of this shoot. With holiday party, it is really easy to go over the top {I am always guilty for that}, but this shoot was just comfy and beautiful.

I love love love those mercury glass ornaments. I am on the mission to find some for my
Christmas tree now.

It is my personal believe that every special occasions need a touch of diy elements. It bring a sense of peronalness {I know that is not a real word, but I'm having brain farts and can't think of another word at the moment} and fun to the occasion.

I love the attention to details and the different ways they make use of the sheet music.

I love how each kind of flowers get their own vase. Not only does that help the flowers stand out, but also easy for anyone to put together.

I love how the menus were lettered in the shape of a star.

How prefect would this bouquet of white peonies, gray dusty miller, black privet berries, and tied with beautiful striped wire ribbon be for a winter wedding.

Aren't you just itching to throw a holiday party now? I know I am.

I spotted this shoot on Snippet and Ink last year. It was stylized by Courtney Spencer from Merriment Events. Janie Medley at JM Flora and The Bride's Cafe did an amazing job on the floral.
