Happy New Year!!!

I hope y'all will have the most amazing New Year Eve with your love ones and family!!!! I will be ringing in the new year {if I can make to midnight} playing board games with my family and I"m sure there will be lots of laughter and love. Hopefully this time I won't be such a sore looser. I'm pretty competitive when it comes to board games {just ask my husband and brothers}.

with lots of love and hugs,
Amy

Love and Sparklers

Happy Wedding Wednesday!
I'm a huge fan of the sparklers wedding exit {I pretty much love everything that sparkle and shine}. I love the sparklers exit even more when couples {like the one above} take their time and pause for a kiss during the exit. I mean isn't the photo above just absolutely stunning and lovely??!!

Check out some more stunning Sparkler wedding exit by clicking here.

Thinking about dyeing my hair this color...

What do you think?

I have thick and long dark black hair right now. I'm feeling playful and adventurous.

Or maybe I'm just in love with this photo.

Photo from Pinterest.

I'm a little busy bee!!!

Ok Go - A Million Ways {I"m pretty crazy about Ok Go}

How was everyone Christmas??? Mine was more than crazy and busy this year. I'm sad {and slightly embarrassed} to confess that I was still Christmas Shopping up until Christmas Eve. Here is a quick recap of the last few days last week.

On Thursday, I got to set up and witness one of my best friend proposal.

{I will post more pictures and details later on}

The same night we also celebrated my Father in law birthday.

We spent hours waiting in line on Friday doing last minute shopping.

We barely got home in time to get ready for Christmas Eve with my Hubby family.

Me and the Hub at his parents house.

We spent Christmas lunch with my Mom and Aunt.

My mom is the one in the gray dress. I double dare you to guess her age!!!! I hope I will get her good aging gene.

This post is all over the place is because I'm exhausted. My hubby, little brother and I took a little road trip to visit our siblings in Colorado today.

A beautiful sunset in Kansas, on our way to Colorado.

I got a mad case of the baby fever

I woke up this morning to start editing my usual Wedding Wednesday post... well I got a little distracted and ummm went on We Heart It and started looking at baby pictures. That was a bad idea because I started getting a mad case of baby fever. Bad, I tell you. You'll understand once you scroll down just a bit.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Well, I think we're gonna need to go rescue the cutie below or I'll never make it through this year or the next or however long it'll be till I have a little bun in the oven.

All images from We Heart It with the baby tag.

Kiki's Delivery Service

I just watch Kiki's Delivery Service for the millionth time last night. Kiki's Delivery Service is my ultimate favorite childhood movie. No matter how old I am, I can always relate back to Kiki. She's a thirteen years old witch in training {no, I am not a witch in training}. I won't go into too much details because I really want you to watch this movie if you haven't already. I relate to Kiki in different ways depending on what I'm going through at that point in my life. Right now, I'm relating to Kiki when she discovered the purpose and passion behind her talent. The biggest reason why I'm so passionate about being a wedding stylist is because I love marriage. I love what it stand for and I love celebrating life and love. Well this passion is becoming a reality more and more each day {especially yesterday}. I"m truly honored by those of you who have been reading this blog of mine and I can't wait to share this journey and passion of mine with y'all.

with all the joy in the world,
Amy

P.s On a total random side note, I just have to share this picture with y'all I just spotted on The Lil Bee blog. I seriously can't stop laughing right now!!!

Both Pictures are from Pinterest.

Still laughing...

Random Rant #1

Before you continue reading... I must warn you, I"m feeling a bit dramatic.

I find this picture so beautiful and so perfect for how I'm feeling right now. I"m honestly completely overwhelmed. I started an internship this week. An unpaid internship, but that don't matter. In just a matter of hours, I got to see a potential glimpse into a dream I've been nursing for so long. Taking on an unpaid part time internship was a bit tough financially, but it seriously drove some lightning through me. I makes me want to pray harder, work harder and dream harder. It makes me realize that this is not gonna be a quick and easy road. It also confirmed to me that with hard work and determination, I can make this dream a reality. Have I told you yet? Have I told you that I want to be a wedding stylist? I want to create the most inspired day that celebrates life, love and marriage.

My mom think I'm crazy for committing to this unpaid internship, but at the same time I think it finally hit her how badly I want this.

I found some inspiration tonight from my friend Stefanie Miles tweet.

A Handmade Southern Wedding

I came across Hannah and Chas wedding on Pinterest about a month ago and I have fallen absolutely in love with the couple, the details, the people and especially the photographers. Each moment and detail of this wedding was captured by Alea Moore Photography. I find their photos so genuine that it seriously makes me feel the warmth and bliss of the moment in time that they had captured. Though I have never met Alea and Kim {the duo behind the photos} I can only imagine that they are just as genuine and sweet as their work.

I was on the fence about mixing and matching both colors and style when it came to bridesmaid dresses, but this wedding has totally sold me on it. It is just absolutely lovely!

How cute are they???? I am now on a hunt for those umbrellas.

I seriously wish that there was a time machine for me to hop into right now and go back to before Hannah and Chas wedding date to make friend with the couple, so I can be invited to their wedding. My heart is still swooning over the handmade details, the food, the square dancing and especially the people.

You seriously need to pop on over to Alea Moore Blog and check out the rest of this wedding. After that, you should also pop on over Southern Weddings Magazine blog and give them some major love and support.

P.s Can you believe we are only 10 days away from Christmas? I am looking forward to some major family time and quite a few food coma.

A Gift of Compassion

I spent the majority of today extremely stressed out. Stressed out by family matter, stressed out by financial problems, stressed out by work and stressed out by Christmas. All that stress seem to melt away though when I stumble across Compassion International through a Facebook status. I was reminded once again how blessed I am. Blessed with the people in my life and for everything else {the good and the bad}. My heart started filling up with hope. Hope for those children, hope for myself and hope for those around me.

Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.

Compassion International have programs where you can Sponsor a Child or give a Happy Birthday where $100 helps provide a woman in poverty access to a skilled attendant during the birth of her child.

They also have a Gifts of Compassion catalog with items like...

On a Night Like This

On a Night Like This by Dave Barnes
He is one of my new favorite artist. His voice just sooth my soul.

This weekend has been one adventure after another. I started my Friday post around 8 in the morning, but couldn't get around to posting it. I decided to save that post for this next Friday and share with you my weekend adventures instead. Happy Monday!

On Friday, I got to help with a photo shoot at the oh so awesome Ghost Bar in Dallas.

Isn't this just the most amazing view of downtown Dallas? Did I also mention that we got the whole place to ourselves for two hours. It was a blast.

A self portrait in the elevator wearing my favorite polka dotted cardigan from Target.

After the photo shoot, I ran home and got ready for a girls night with two of my bestie.

We ate at the new Mama Pita Mediterranean restaurant at the Shops at Legacy.

{I seriously love you Neena!}

{Oh the adventures and memories we share Bekah. I love you!}

After dinner we walk around and enjoy some beautifully lights. I really do wish they keep the Christmas lights year round. Wouldn't that be lovely?

We got the munchies for some desserts. Well it turn out it was mostly me, who got the munchies because I was the only one that ordered desserts. Yes, both those plates are mine. Yes, I did share.

On Saturday, I got to set up a holiday party with Branching Out Floral and Event Design.

I love the modern decor that matches the modern architecture of the house that was hosting the holiday party.

On Saturday night, I got pretty sick. I had a 102 fever and threw up everything I had consume that day. I was glue to my couch under my blanket on Sunday in between trips to the bathroom. It was so frustrating to be sick, but it was a blessing at the same time. Being sick forced me to rest and just take it easy which is something I don't do too often. The picture above is my hubby saying "Look, I got you flowers to cheer you up" when he got home from his Walmart trip to pick me up some Gatorade. Isn't he sweet!!!
